Motorcycle Insurance Discounts and Anti-Theft Devices



Generally, motorcycle insurance companies only offer an anti-theft discount for bikes with tracking or disabling systems installed. The discount is typically about 10% of a premium and, depending on the cost of a motorcycle insurance policy, that could translate into meanful savings. These systems allow a motorcycle owner to use radio frequency of GPS-based tracking to locate their bike after it has been stolen and temporarily disable it, making it impossible to ride. Not every tracking system is equal.
Some carriers will only offer discounts on qualified devices that have been professionally installed, while others only ask whether the motorcycle covered has one. The sophistication of tracking and disabling systems varies. Some locator products can't disable a bike, but they might be able to send email or text message notifications when a motorcycle is being driven without a compatible sensor present. Others can sense when a bike is touched or even when someone is in close vicinity of a motorcycle.

Opportunité de stage et d’emploi pour 50 jeunes étudiants haïtiens

Après avoir placé dans des entreprises, pour stage et/ou emploi, plus de 75% des participants à son premier projet de formation sur l’employabilité, PUSH qui se donne pour mission de faciliter l’insertion socioprofessionnelle des jeunes haïtiens, organise, en collaboration avec ses partenaires, du 6 au 8 avril 2018, une deuxième édition de formation sur le même sujet, à l’intention des étudiants finissants et gradués. Le train ne s’arrête pas pour PUSH, ce projet - sorti de l’atelier Emploi du forum international de jeunes Élan Haïti 2016 -, qui se veut un rempart contre le taux de chômage chez les jeunes dans le pays. Le staff directeur du projet, après une première édition de formation, en 2017, qui a réuni une trentaine de jeunes, s’offre un quasi-satisfecit au regard des résultats obtenus.
