Peu loquace depuis son arrivée à la tête de l’Assemblée nationale le 9 janvier 2018, le sénateur du Sud-est Joseph Lambert a obtenu gain de cause auprès des autorités dominicaines sur la question des frais supplémentaires pour l’obtention du visa dominicain en Haïti. « Je salue la décision du Président Danilo qui a répondu favorablement à ma démarche. Son administration est en effet revenue sur la décision d’augmenter de 150$ le coût du visa accordé à nos compatriotes Haïtiens. Je suis satisfait d’avoir conduit cette délégation parlementaire », a-t-il écrit sur Twitter, dimanche 1 er avril. Février dernier, les autorités diplomatiques dominicaines avaient augmenté le prix des visas pour les ressortissants haïtiens. Pas moins de 150 dollars ont été ajoutés sur le prix initial qui était de 230 dollars , auparavant.
